Project Day 3

Hello Bronxworks's Life-Science,

Use the remaining time to...

Type the following information onto the "Blogger"

1) Respond to the previous post

2) Find out the more science background of the experiment

3) Respond to another group project

  1. UPDATE:
David & Fatima- need more background information
Sekou and Daniel- need more information on osmosis
Mohamed and Luis- need more background information
Maria & Samantha- do some research on polymers.

  2. Osmosis is the spontaneous net movement of solvent molecules through a semi-permeable membrane into a region of higher solute concentration, in the direction that tends to equalize the solute concentrations on the two sides

  4. When sugar burns it turns into water vapor and carbon dioxide. To completely burn it needs a good amount of oxygen.Other complex processes take place at high temperatures and the flow of temperature is delayed in the inner parts of the pile of sugar. These processes include decomposition. It is this decomposition to give carbon that makes the carbon snake appear

  6. Polymer is a molecule made from joining other molecules called monomers. Most polymers are natural. Some are not. Polymers are proteins and starches. Nuclear acids are HUGE polymers. - Samantha and Maria a.k.a The Jeffs
